John G Kennedy
 After graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1989 Dr. Kennedy
practiced in Ireland before coming to the United States. As a surgeon, his
specialty is that of all lower limb conditions, particularly Sports Related
Injuries. His passion for Sports Medicine of the lower limb is generated by a
long personal history in sports, where Dr. Kennedy competed at National and
International levels in track, rugby, fencing and water skiing. As part of his
Fellowship year, he was involved as Assistant Team Physician to Boston College
Football for the 1994-95 season. Since then, Dr. Kennedy has been involved in
the treatment of both recreational athletes as well as elite athletes from the
New York Giants, New York Red Bulls, Manhattan Rugby and National Basketball
Referees Association. Presently, Dr. Kennedy is the Clinical Director of the
Running Clinic in the Gait Laboratory at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is
also, the official Foot and Ankle doctor for the National Hockey League Players
Association (NHLPA), the official Foot and Ankle consultant for the New York
Giants, and one of the physicians for St. John's University in New York. Dr
Kennedy's involvement in all aspects of lower limb sports injuries has led him
to deliver over 70 presentations and publish over 85 articles including those on
running injuries, cycling injuries, ballet injuries, and ankle instability
following sports injuries. Committed to excellence in surgery reaching a wider
demographic Dr. Kennedy participates in several philanthropic initiatives in the
USA as well as internationally.
