July 22, 2010 - An abstract submitted by Dr. Kennedy's office for presentation at the Eastern Orthopaedic Association's annual meeting was accepted and will receive an award for one of the top abstracts. The meeting will take place on October 13-16, 2010, in Naples, FL. The study title is: Murawski CD and Kennedy JG. Percutaneous Internal Fixation of Fifth Metatarsal Jones Fractures with Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) - An Outcome Study.
June 28, 2010 - Dr. Kennedy accepts a position as a reviewer of foot and ankle manuscripts for the American Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Kennedy will review up to 6 papers annually in the subject categories of sports related injuries of the foot and ankle, lateral ankle ligament injuries and repair, arthroscopy of the foot and ankle, articular cartilage repair and biomechanics, and lastly, growth factors and healing enhancement of foot and ankle injuries.
June 16, 2010 - Dr. Kennedy's office had two abstracts accepted for presentation at the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) Congress. The meeting took place on July 9-12, 2010 in Oslo, Norway.

May 29, 2010 - Dr. Kennedy publishes a review article on arthoscopic microfracture surgery for treating osteochondral lesions of the talus. Specifically, it outlined the need to redefine the current treatment strategies for osteochondral lesions of the talus and examined the benefits of the OATS procedure with T2 mapping MRI. May, 18 2010 - Dr. John Kennedy is featured in the Irish publication "Scope," where he recalls his experiences in treating the Wounded Warriors.
May 17, 2010 - Dr. Kennedy publishes the first known case series on the arthroscopic resection of anteromedial impingement in the ankle joint in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. Anteromedial impingement is a common injury in many athletes, particularly soccer players. The study showed that athletes suffering from this condition can return to their previous level of athletic sport with excellent outcomes and minimal time lost to play. March 13, 2010 - Dr. John G. Kennedy speaks at the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Specialty Day in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Kennedy's lecture, titled "My Perspective on Cartilage Repair," highlighted the indications for performing arthroscopic microfracture surgery, osteochondral autograft transplant (OATS) and retrograde drilling, as well as the various biological adjuncts in cartilage repair. Dr. Kennedy then participated in a case-based discussion panel, called "Current Controversies in Cartilage Repair."
